Happy Mother’s Day!
05/11/2012
Hey Everybody! Many weeks I have a hard time figuring out what I should blog about, but with Mother's Day so close, this week was easy for me. I decided that I would send a message to all those Mothers out there. Those of you that saw my ESPN piece saw me talk about my Grandmother and how important she was to me. She was really my Mother because my real Mom passed away when I was very young. My Grandma at that point stepped up and did an excellent job of helping to raise my brother and I. I miss her dearly. Mother's Day is a painful reminder that she is no longer with us. When I think of her it reminds me of all that she did for her family and what all Mothers do for their family. They risk it all and give up everything to take care of the ones they love. The Motherly instinct is amazing to me! And you see it in all species of creatures. This need to take care of their families at all cost. What would we all do without you? I would never have been the person I am today if my Grandmother wasn't there. I wish she was here still. To those of you who still have your Mother, make sure you show her that you appreciate and love her everyday. Let her know that you are aware of all that she does for you. Give her a great big hug and a kiss this Sunday. She deserves it. To all you Mother's out there, Happy Mother's Day!! Have a wonderful day! Go out and pamper yourself. To all you soon to be Mother's, Happy Mother's Day to you too! You will do a great job in raising your child. Just know it. To all you want to be Mother's out there. Don't worry it will happen. Just be patient. And you will be excellent Mother's too. Happy Mother's Day Grandma! I love you and I miss you so much!
