I am sure most of you reading this blog have probably figured this out on your own but supplements are not all created equal. Being a fitness professional and professional bodybuilder I feel like I should always be up to speed on supplements
and such. However, there are times that I slip and sometimes have taken the "easy" road.
I am sure you have heard the saying "you get what you pay for", right? I am finding this to be true a lot more and in many areas of my life, not just the fitness arena. I'm always preaching to my clients to never go cheap when it comes to your supplementation. Now, I know what you might be saying "Ken, higher price does not always mean quality and less expensive does not always equate to garbage" and you are right. BUT- just but, sometimes, you do get a better product if you put out a bit more for it. For example, after the Toronto Pro show I walked into the local vitamin store and picked up some Zinc. I will admit I picked the cheapest bottle I could find thinking it would not make a huge difference. Let's just say I struggled with this product and was often nauseous after it. I went back in the store just recently to pick up some extra Aminolast by Gaspari (the best out there I might add) and I talked with the guy about my issues with the Zinc. He recommended a certain brand and said it was the best one but a bit more expensive. With that being said- I have had no issues with the Zinc this time around. It helps to do some research, ask people in the know, pay a little bit more for a quality product- all of this will pay off in the long run.
Speaking of research on products, you guys really need to check out Gaspari Nutrition's new products; IsoFusion, GlycoFuse, and SuperDrive. Awesome, awesome, products and Gaspari really did their homework on these three products. Well that is all for today ... a few days out from my next show and I am off to prepare some food.
