This past week is kind of a blur to me to be honest, so much has happened yet these are things which aren't necessarily interesting to others. The name Body Power in the UK is a name that makes people's ears open and heads turn. Body Power is by far the Biggest Fitness Expo in the UK and the most exciting thing about Body Power is that it has only been running 3 years and this May will be its 4th anniversary!!! It's made such a positive stamp in the UK for the better not just in our Sport but for many other sports. Body Power has grown every year by nearly 100% and this year's Body Power which is to be held in May is a Monster!!! Body Power, the UKBFF and Team British Grand Prix teamed up together about 3 Months ago to bring a new event to the UK. It's the Sportexfestival which is to be held on October the 19th and 20th at the Trafford Centre, Manchester England. This event is going to be the biggest Bodybuilding and Sports Festival ever to come under one roof. Just to give you an idea of some of the sports taking place it will house the UKFBB British Finals which is by far the biggest amateur contest in the UK, the IFBB British Grand Prix IFBB Open Pro Men, IFBB Pro 212lb Men and the first IFBB Pro ladies Bikini Class. It doesn't end there either, it will house the British cheer-leading Championships, the World indoor free running Championships and more than 12 other sports, and to top this off there will be a huge Fitness Expo which will house the biggest and best Supplement companies in the World. My point in all of this is that I travelled up to the HQ of Body Power this Monday and I was so taken back with the interest that is gathering for our Sportexfestival Event. Seeing something grow that you feel very passionate about and at the same time being able to give back to our sport is such an amazing feeling.
So what is going on in my life besides Body Power? My athletes, family and Sportexfestival??? Team Sheru Classic that's what!!! My bags are packed and I'm ready to fly out of the UK this Monday coming where I will be heading out to my new home for the next few months. I'm India bound and I'm so looking forward to the challenge ahead of me and a new journey I'm about to experience. As many of you know I signed up to be a part of Team Sheru Classic where as a team member I will help with the Education of Health and Fitness throughout the whole of India. I feel extremely honoured to be a part of something that can only benefit the people of India for the better, and having the ability to make a real difference to people's lives is something that is very meaningful to me.
Why India and why Sheru? Simply because India and the people of India want a new life, they are so enthusiastic and eager to learn for the better. Sheru is a true Ambassador of our sport but more importantly he wants to make a difference so everyone can benefit from his vision and dream.
As for Gaspari Nutrition they are so excited to give back and expand in bringing the best products in the world to India and further the education of the Indian people so they cannot just see, but feel the real benefits of living a healthier life style. That's just one of the many great things about being a part of Team Gaspari and Team Sheru Classic is that they give back their time to real people. I won't be alone in India as I will be hooking up with Kris Gethin!
Kris and myself are very much the best of friends and we are excited for the opportunity's which lie ahead for us in India and are very proud to be the figure heads for Team Sheru Classic and myself for Team Gaspari. Kris also tells me that the food is amazing which is what really swung it for me!! Joking aside, I truly believe our presence out there will be beneficial to so many people as we aim to help as many people as possible achieve their health and fitness related goals.
