Follow the Wave
In a strange twist of fate this afternoon, I find myself packing to take off to Mexico tomorrow. Not only am I headed to Mexico but more importantly to Cooper Canyons Ultra Marathon, the same race fabled in the book Born to Run. A book which I read before becoming an obstacle racer or runner. I read the book when it first came out years ago laying in a hammock in Costa Rica on a surf and yoga trip. And tomorrow I find myself beginning an adventure down to those fabled canyons to experience some of the best runners in the world do exactly what they are born to do.
I will not be running down there but covering the race as media, experiencing the culture, and hashtagging the heck out of it all. Words cannot express my emotions right now. Truly sometimes in life you just have to take the experiences as they come and appreciate opportunities. I feel like I am following a wave and will stay on it for as long as possible. Truly feeling that life is an amazing gift at this very moment. The moral seize opportunities as they come, do not take them for granted and experience life for all it's worth!
