I am about three weeks into my prep for North Americans and everything is on track. With eight weeks to go, my diet is still extremely high in carbs and low in fat! I am lucky with being able to consume a higher amount of carbs than most this close to contest because of my metabolism. Myself and my trainer Neil learn more pertaining to my body with every contest and we learned a long time ago I have to keep a close check on my food intake being precise. It seems if I ever start losing too fast it is hard to stop it which leads to muscle loss I definitely don’t want to encounter! I have added the new AminoLast by Gaspari to my supplement regimen for prevention of muscle loss also. If you haven’t tried it yet, do! It tastes great. I am currently doing 20 minutes of low intensity cardio every other day typically using a treadmill. I am consistantly losing 1.5-2 lbs. a week and leaning out nicely. Y3T precontest training is in full swing with a typical workout consisting of high volume exercises always concentrating on getting a good squeeze. On another note, we have a few local shows coming up in the following weeks in my home state. A big good luck to my fellow TN athletes prepping, keep pushing, it’s about that time!
