DEFINED & IFBB PRO Governor’s Cup Wrap!

Hi Everyone:)!

I wanted to start this blog with my facebook post from yesterday & thank you for all your responses and kind words to this post & pic:

I was propelled into health & fitness with the loss of both of my parents to cancer. This picture perfectly defines my DRIVE, AMBITION, HARD WORK, PASSION & MOTIVATION in continually STRIVING to be a better athlete, wife, role model, physical therapist & an overall better person all around~

I was able to share a little about my story last month on Artie Clear & IFBB Pro Jami DeBernard’s Fem-Fit-All radio show, which is a nationally broadcasted sports radio show. I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to both Artie & Jami for all their kindness & for having me on their radio show twice both before & after I competed at the IFBB Pro Governor’s Cup. You can view my biography featured on their site here

& also download & listen to any of the previous shows as well.

Now….I am so glad that I can finally catch up with you all! I hope that all of you are doing greatJ It has been non-stop since the Arnold…BBBUUUUUSSSYYYYYY…LOL..After my amazing Arnold experience, I was right back in full prep mode when I got back to rest for me! I had to hit it hard again SHOW TIME!

3-weeks after the Arnold, I competed in Sacramento at the IFBB PRO Governor’s Cup. The weekend started off with a great seminar hosted by IFBB PRO Head judge Sandy Williamson, Coach Kim Oddo and a wonderful panel of IFBB PROs, which I was a part of. The seminar was packed with competitors of all divisions asking Sandy, Kim and the panel various great questions regarding competing, what the judges are looking for, how to balance life and competing and many other great topics were also addressed. It was so wonderful meeting new friends & seeing everyone who attended the seminar. Following the seminar, we headed to the Athlete’s meeting and then it was time to wind down before show time!

Saturday-Show Time! After getting my tan touched up, I happily headed over to see Nancy Jambezian. I LOVE Nancy and the amazing work that she does with hair and make-up. YOU ROCK NANCY! After getting all dolled-up, it was time to head over Crest Theater for pre-judging! Backstage, I just relaxed and enjoyed some quality time with all my friends and fellow competitors. Time to hit the stage! I absolutely love being on stage and competing. I love the excitement, the adrenaline and the rush! Pre-judging went great. I felt great on stage, made 1st callout & I was very happy with how and what I presented to the judges. Let me just say….All the ladies looked amazing!

After a little rest and touch-ups, it was time for Finals! #Excitement was in the theater and the show was sold out! Going into Finals, I was not sure how I was going to place. All I knew was that I made 1st call out during pre-judging and the other competitors in the same call out as me looked INCREDIBLE! What made it even nicer was that they are all friends of mine as well:)! SHOW TIME! Followed by awards to the top 5. Oh yes, butterflies in my tummy in anticipation of how I placed. 5th place, 4th place, 3rd place and then there were 2 of us….2nd place-Krissy Chin (me:))! I have to give a huge shout out to the amazing women in the top 5 who surely pushed me-Carin, Allison, Jami & the winner of the show Heather! Congrats ladies!!

After the show, it was time for my favorite post-show restaurant…CHEESECAKE FACTORY! What a perfect way to top off the amazing show/night with friends. Congrats & thank you to Sandy & Ted Williamson & John Tuman for such an incredible & successful 1st year event! I am so #THANKFUL for so much! #THANKFUL for all of your love, support & kindness throughout my prep leading up into the show, for placing 2nd in a GREAT line-up of incredible women-thank you to the judges!, for having my husband Troy, Coach Kim & all of my amazing fellow Angels & friends there who made the experience that much more fulfilling, for the kindness & support of my sponsors-Gaspari Nutrition & Powertec & for just being able to continue to be successful in something that I love to do~THANK YOU ALL AGAIN!
