Tying Up Loose Ends, and Aminolast and Detonate take me to the finish line.
09/22/2012

Today, I woke up pretty late so I skipped my normal morning meditation, to get a jump start on the day. After all of my responsibilities are done, I will definitely take the time to quiet the mind tonight.

So for now, I am diligently working to knock out all of the responsibilities I have before I fly out. Today that includes, organizing lists of food to bring with me on the flight, counting today's macros as I usually do but now I monitor sodium and water as of yesterday, cleaning the house, shooting video (well not me, I gave up on that lol, it's like math...I'll leave that to the experts), running errands, writing this blog, practicing posing and making more lists.

Yesterday was the start of my peak week going into the Olympia.  I just did this protocol 2 weeks ago, a full run through, to make sure I came in with the exact look I have in mind.   Dr. Layne Norton is helping me with this, and he nailed it the first time, so that pre contest trial run really helped put my mind at ease.  I have never done that before, but I have lessons that I have already learned, and I don't need to revisit them.

I am drinking a ton of water, and it is a struggle to get it all down. I do use Aminolast all day, especially as I deplete and the calories are dropped. It tastes great and makes life much easier in that aspect.  But more importantly, with all of the electrolytes and full doses of  BCAA's in each scoop, I know my muscles will be spared and not used as a fuel source.  So adding that to this contest prep is another way I am able to relieve unnecessary stress.  It is one thing to "deflate" and shrink down as carbohydrates are reduced, but I don't want to lose my muscle.  I have come down a LOT since the NY pro, enough that I would not want to get smaller.

I did the work, stuck to a game plan, and with less effort than ever before, all is falling into place. That was one of the lessons I have learned most recently, I don't have to try so hard. It is all there for me and always has been.  It was just up to me to know and believe that.   I always thought the more I tried or the harder I worked the better.  When actually the more I let go and just am, the better!  Sounds odd, but that is my experience.

I also have to say that, doing 2 competitions...one was just here at my house, but my body went through the same tiring depletion, the only thing that saved me was Detonate and a little extra caffeine here and there. I took one in the morning and one in the afternoon. And I really have been feeling pretty OK, mood wise.  I know I just took one before this blog, and I am into it!  I was pretty close to trying 3, but I won't because it says I am not supposed to lol, so I will be good.  If it feels good I want more....it's easy to get extreme for me!

So up next, I am of to finish up the day, solidify that video shoot, amongst a lot of other things to prepare to fly out. But I did want to check in even if briefly, to keep you in the loop.

I will be in touch before the big day.  Have a great weekend!

Funny my friend Angela, just sent me a text of this picture.   She saw that I actually use the products I say I use.  So she sent me a text saying I would be proud of her!  LOL

I love it!  I told you this stuff works Angela.:) Blurry but...she found the MIX!!
