Unable to rest in between fights
It has always been tough for me to "take it easy" in between fights, however after a loss it is multiplied by 10. I find myself unable to enjoy downtime, still getting in the gym everyday, and eagerly awaiting a matchup announcement. This same level of seriousness and focus has certainly helped me succeed in most areas of my life, but at the same time takes away my ability to enjoy the fruits of the labor. My manager and friend Robert Roveta always tells me that my gift is my curse. Interesting. Luckily for me I have two amazing daughters who allow me to escape reality every night and slip into their make-believe world of Princesses and Dragons. They are by far, the greatest part of my life and most significant accomplishments. I have not heard any rumors of my next fight, but my manager is speaking with the UFC matchmaker so it shouldnt be long before I know when I am competing again. The good news is that I am training everyday and further developing my all around game. Recently I brought in Rodrigo Artilheiro, ad BJJ and Judo black belt from RIO. He is a phenominal technician and will be moving to Atlanta to teach at my gym and assist in my training. Raymond Jordan, 2 time All American Wrestler & Olympic Alternate, has also moved to Atlanta to train with me. My team is getting stronger, my coaches more experienced and skilled, I feel great about the environment I am creating to improve and am very anxiously awaiting the UFC's call to fight!
