2013 Flex Lewis Classic NPC Bodybuilding Championships

Jun. 18, 2013

This Saturday, June 22nd marks the third annual Flex Lewis Classic NPC Bodybuilding Championships in TN presented by Gaspari Nutrition and Olympus Gym. Team Gaspari's Flex Lewis, the reigning Olympia 212 Showdown Champion, together with his training partner, Sean Barber of Olympus Gym founded the show in 2011 to give local bodybuilders an opportunity to compete. "I wanted to create a unique show to give back to the sport, so that young athletes could get a taste of a competitive bodybuilding stage right here in Tennessee. At the inception of the event, we had 90 athletes come out from surrounding states as well as one athlete from the UK. Last year we had 115 athletes and this year we expect 135+ competitors in the bodybuilding, fitness, figure, bikini, men's and women's physique classes." said Flex Lewis.

The competition will be hosted at Embassy Suites, 1200 Conference Center Blvd. in Murfreesboro, TN. On Friday, the official weigh-ins will be held from 6:30-8:30pm. On Saturday, Prejudging will be held from 9-12pm with Finals at 6:30pm. At the Finals, Flex will be taking the stage for the first time as a contest promoter and guest poser, along with 2013 Mr. Olympia hopeful Shawn 'Flexatron' Rhoden and women's physique standout Dana Linn Bailey. Be sure to get there early as Flex, Shawn, Dana and Rich Gaspari will be greeting fans for photo opportunities and free autographs.

The following IFBB Pro League athletes will also be making an appearance at the event, including Brandon Curry, Dallas McCarver, Luis Santa, Brandon Williams, Ali Rosen, Brandy Leaver, Yolly Alvarado, Valerie Haines, Katie Davis and many more.
