Some R&R Before Getting Back to Training
I'm about two weeks out from my last fight
on July 6th against BJ Penn. I spent the last couple weeks hanging out with my family, playing with my boys and getting to know my new baby girl. This down time after a fight doesn't come to often so i try to do as much with the family as i can. I like to take a week or two off after my fights to heal up and relax but that doesn't last too long. I took the family to Atlantic City earlier this week to hangout and also catch my teammate Edson Barboza fight in the UFC fight night. While i was there i did a signing and some media, i also was able to squeeze in two mitt sessions in with my coach Mark Henry. And you better believe i got some good eats too, I'm still kinda in cheat mode since making weight. haha. That will all change this Monday when i get back to eating clean.....er. lol. Jokes aside i like to keep my eating clean for the most part but in between camps i don't keep it super strict. i usually eat clean during the week but eat what i want on the weekends. i think im able to do this and still perform well at training in between camps because of the supplements i take. its good to know I'm getting everything i need by taking my supplement like Anavite
Mutli Vitamin, the MyoFusion
Protein, and off course Aminolast
for recovery. I want to continue training and getting better this summer and by taking care of my body i should be able to do so.
