7-years and counting I competed in my 1st Figure show in 2003
I literally walked into the gym one-day, saw a flyer for the 2003 NPC Sunshine Classic and said, "Hmm...What are figure competitions?" I jumped into that show 15 days later.
To continually improve my physique
ME! I have this inner drive to be the best that I can be in every thing that I do or that I put my mind and heart into
- To be the BEST athlete and person that I can be & to represent TEAM GASPARI proud!
- To win my first IFBB PRO Show
- To continue to inspire others
- To continue to help others whenever I can
As a competitive figure athlete, I am always learning and striving to continually improve my physique for the stage. In my eyes, I can always be better and I can always make improvements. I see my body as a piece of art that is a continual work in progress. For figure competitions, I feel that it is paramount to present the most symmetrical and balanced physique and how I present my physique on stage is equally as important.
The advice, which I usually give to women just starting out in figure competitions is to first go and watch a figure show (if they have never seen one). This way they will have an idea about what is involved in the sport and in a competition. I also advise women to do research on suits, posing, nutrition, training and all of the other details, which are so important in competing in figure.
